A BUGLE MARKED TO THE 3rd HAMPSHIRE RIFLE VOLUNTEERS BY HENRY POTTER, dated 1880, copper and brass, engraved on the bell 'HENRY POTTER / 30 Charring Cross / London / C&M / 1880 / 3rd H. R. V. / Hd. Qrs.', white metal mouth-piece marked 'KOSIKUP / REGd. / 3', together with green tassels, denting and solder repairs, the 3rd H.R.V. were based at Portsmouth and were absorbed into the Hampshire Regiment as the 3rd Volunteer Battalion in1881 under the Childers Reforms
